A five week residency among the great pine forests outside Berlin inspired me to look closer into the movement and rhythms of the trees.

Prepared Forest consists of sound sculptures that translates movements of the trees in relation to each other. The sculptures are meant to function as windows in which opens up for a greater imaginable whole.

My work come to being as attempts to push invisible networks of events into perceptual expressions. This video work is a documentation, but also a poetic meditation on the sounds and visuals that are connected to these events.

thanks :) they are still there since I made them last summer. I wonder if they are working properly. It is in Beelitz-Heilstätten. I could give you some coordinates if you want to go and check :)

The coordinates could be the final motivation for me to finally go and visit Beelitz-Heilstätten ;)

okay cool. You can post these in google maps search to find it 52.269172,12.931654 I am not completely sure where along that road it is, but you should be able to find it.
The sculptures are close to a little forest hut village some other art students from the same residency built here 52.267947,12.93241 I filmed their opening ceremony here [link]

All this is pretty close to the train station, so it shouldn't take you long to get there from Berlin Hbf. Beelitz-Heilstätten is an interesting historical place. Me and fellow art students stayed there for over a month using this building as studios 52.265602,12.923889

If you decide on taking the trip I hope the sound sculptures and forest huts haven't been worn down already. And good wind is also important!

If i find it i'll let you know.

I went to Beelitz Heilstätten before, it's an interesting place indeed, i was sad to see all the vandalism and bad graffiti though.
